Born in Morecambe. Childhood and education in Lancaster, Manchester, and West Yorkshire. Studied at The Percival Whitely College in Halfax.

Became a Nursery School Teacher. Her career commenced in England and then became a teacher and director of a private nursery school in Brussels.

Loves reading, fashion, cooking -and eating - cinema with particular interest in German Expressionism. Travelling is also a passion, particularly so to visit her brother Adam who lives in Zagreb with Ivana his Croatian wife and daughters Tess and Hannah.
